01/06/2005 Entry: "Comments removed from News articles"

I have been having trouble lately with spammers posting comments to the News section of our web site. I do get an email every time someone posts a comment so if it is inappropriate I can simply go in and delete it, however last night I came home to over 200 such emails. Apparently someone posted an advertisement for an online poker web site as a comment to every single one of our news articles. As a result of this I have temporarily disabled the display of all comments and the ability to post new ones until I get time to work on an anti-spam modification for the site.
