Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) today, in a letter to Senators Trent Lott (R-MS) and Chris Dodd (D-CT), the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, urged them to support efforts to encourage the U.S. Senate to purchase more American-made goods. | NEW HEALTH BENEFIT PREMIUMS (Going up) | ||

The Washington Post and Federal Times report that premiums in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program will increase 10.6 percent on average in January, according to the Office of Personnel Management. The articles said the biweekly increase for Postal Service employees will be $3.13 for individual coverage and $6.53 for family coverage on average. OPM said the increase is less than what many public and private-sector employees are facing.
